Democracy, Vaccines and Climate Change Among Topics Discussed

• In a phone call on Monday, June 28th, President Duque thanked President Biden for the U.S. donation of 2.5 million COVID-19 vaccines to Colombia.

• The Colombian leaders also expressed gratitude for the United States’ commitment to defending democracy in the region and Colombia’s climate change agenda.

“Thank you for your support of the institutions of our country and also to those shared values of protecting peaceful protest as a right, and of acting with law and order against acts of vandalism or acts of urban terrorism, obviously with strict adherence to human rights, and where there is zero tolerance for any conduct contrary to them,” said President Duque.
