Oscar Acevedo Performs at Blues Alley Jazz Club in Washington, D.C.

As part of Colombia’s Cultural Diplomacy Strategy and the Embassy of Colombia’s cultural programming, pianist and composer Óscar Acevedo took the stage at the historic Blues Alley Jazz Club, joining the venue’s 60th-anniversary celebrations during Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States.

Performing at one of the world’s most distinguished jazz stages, Acevedo offered a vivid demonstration of the sophistication, diversity, and artistic excellence that define Colombia’s contemporary musical landscape.

His programme featured original compositions that blended contemporary jazz with Colombia’s rich rhythmic traditions, underscoring the ingenuity and technical mastery that characterise his work and contributing to a wider appreciation of Colombia’s musical identity on the international stage.

This performance was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Blues Alley Jazz Club, and the University of the Andes.
