To celebrate the impact and legacy of Colombian Literature Nobel Prize Winner Gabriel G Marquez, the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Embassy of Colombia in the United States will explore the influence that GABO had on other authors around the world by developing a genre that embodies myth, magic and other extraordinary phenomena.
Ambassador of Colombia in the United States, Francisco Santos Calderón will open the event that will be led by Jon Parrish Peede, Chairman of the NEH.
Marie Arana, writer, critic, and the Literary Director of the Library of Congress in the United States and Juan Esteban Constaín, Colombian author and columnist, will explore and elucidate on GABO´s literary creativity and geniuses.
The event about the Colombian author opens an Embassy Series that the NEH will continue through 2020.
