Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Press Release on the political crisis in Peru

The Government of Colombia expresses its concern over the political crisis in Peru, expresses its solidarity with the neighboring Peruvian people and calls for dialogue among all political actors to safeguard democracy. Colombia condemns any attack against democracy, wherever it may come from, and sustains that democracy requires the recognition of the popular will, expressed in both elections, for president and congress.
