From Colombia to the World: A Spiritual Tasting by Colombian "Coachef" Paula Silva

Updated: May 18, 2021

We brought Colombian Chef Paula Silva for our international audiences to taste our flavors. We organized a tasting for journalists, and opinion leaders. She also served for VIP guests at Ambassador Francisco Santos Residence.

With traditional recipes inspired by nature, Chef Paula Silva presents her cuisine in Washington DC. With her brand “Hippie” Silva presented dishes to show that in its purest state, Colombian cuisine has the power to change bodies and lives.

Silva, born in Cali and now based in Bogotá, teaches through conferences, and talks to use traditional Colombian food in their most natural state so the goal is not only to please the palate, but to balance energies of the body and of the soul.

In addition to gastronomy, Paula studied gem therapy or crystal healing and yoga. Practices that she now involves in her lifestyle as a chef. She uses organic meat free of antibiotics, organic and free range poultry, and fruits and vegetables. Her pop up restaurant offers vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.

She loves to create unforgettable gastronomic experiences that allows those who consume them to understand the spiritual relationship between food and soul.

For Silva, nature is her greatest inspiration.

Silva served an interesting menu done with ingredients such as Muisca's quinua, guatila, heart of palm, golden berries and Hass avocado. All from different regions of Colombia to show case new Colombian superfoods that are being exported to different countries of the world. Her objective was to teach others about Colombian richness and diversity.
