Colombia-US AI Diplomacy Roundtable: Building Ethical, Innovative, and Sustainable Cooperation

Colombia continues to position itself as a regional leader in the responsible development and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI). At the Colombia-US AI Diplomacy Roundtable, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., the Embassy’s Chargé d'Affaires, Ms Andrea Jiménez Herrera, shared Colombia’s AI strategy and regulatory framework.

During the meeting, the Government of Colombia engaged with leading U.S. technology companies already contributing to the country’s growing digital ecosystem.

This dialogue underscored the shared commitment of both nations to advancing AI as a driver of innovation, investment, and inclusive development, while ensuring governance frameworks that are ethical, transparent, and aligned with international standards.
