The Embassy of Colombia welcomed senior officers from Colombia's War College (Escuela Superior de Guerra) advancing to the ranks of Lieutenant Colonel and Frigate Captain. Deputy Chief of Mission Daniel Ávila addressed the delegation, highlighting the strength and institutional dynamism of the partnership between Colombia's military and U.S. defence institutions.

Over four decades of operational cooperation, Colombia and the United States have built a relationship grounded in training, capacity development, and interoperability exercises. This partnership has evolved into a hemispheric framework. Colombia now serves as the region's leading centre for military knowledge transfer and strategic practice, multiplying institutional capacity across Latin America and the Caribbean.

DCM Ávila highlighted how this long-standing commitment continues to strengthen security cooperation across the hemisphere, positioning Colombia as a trusted partner in advancing regional stability and institutional excellence.
