The Ambassador of Colombia in the United states, Luis Gilberto Murillo Urrutia, is the first Afro-Descendant to hold this position. He has contributed to the environmental protection of his country and brought ethnic communities to the center of the agenda. He has also been two decades in the United States, where he has advocated for black and Afro-Colombian communities, human rights and inclusion.
