Celebrate the independence of Colombia in Washington D.C.

This Friday July 20 is the national holiday of Colombia in Washington D.C., you are cordially invited to share and commemorate the independence of our country. In the Hall of the Americas at the OAS from 5pm to 8pm.

The event will be attended by artists such as the group Profetas, the duo formed by the African singer Antombo Langangui and the Colombian Pablo Fortaleza. One of the essential groups to understand the new urban music in Latin America. The fusion of Afro-Colombian music, reggae, rock and a strong hip-hop base.

Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto group, a Colombian traditional folk cumbia group formed in the Caribbean region of Colombia that has been active since 1940. Their folk music preserves the traditional rhythms and sounds of a mixture of Colombian, Spanish and Afro-Colombian indigenous heritage.

 

Hernán Orjuela, presenter, broadcaster and Colombian businessman, who was the host of the humorous “Sábados Felices” program, is the one who will be presenting this event to commemorate the independence of Colombia this Friday, July 20th, at the OAS headquarters in Washington DC.
